Highlights

“Roberto Valbuzzi was born in Varese on 1 July 1989 and is chef patron of the well-known Crotto Valtellina restaurant in Malnate in the province of Varese, this year in its fiftieth year of activity (1974-2024). His grandparents run a large farm in Mornago where he learned to appreciate the flavors of the area, developing a great passion for cooking and fresh produce from the land. His profile is completed by a diploma from the hotel school and the stubborn work carried out in the restaurant industry with multiple experiences in prestigious restaurants which lead him to research and create increasingly innovative dishes. The young chef's television rise began on the occasion of his participation in the Varese trade fair, an experience that allowed him to get noticed by the Gambero Rosso Channel, the Sky TV dedicated to entirely to the culinary scene, where he began a fifteen-year parallel career working for numerous successful productions such as Courtesies for Guests and A Chef on the Farm".
