The gold of Sogliano

History meets the landscape and the tradition of Fossa cheese enchants the senses.
A panoramic stroll along Via XX Settembre followed by a guided tour of the historic center to discover the ancient origins of Sogliano al Rubicone.
Next, a guided visit to the Museo del Disco (Record Museum), where you can admire over 50,000 vinyls, antique wax cylinders, gramophones, 3,000 opera librettos, and guitars autographed by legendary artists, along with many other musical curiosities.
To round off the morning perfectly, we will visit the ancient pits (fosse) carved into the sandstone rock. These pits, about three meters deep, are where the famous cheese is aged. Here, we will enjoy a tasting of the gastronomic symbol of Sogliano al Rubicone, which in 2009 was awarded the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) status under the name "Formaggio di Fossa di Sogliano DOP."
