A journey through the majesty of the Ridracoli dam, the secrets of the Eco-museum and the contemporary soul of Santa Sofia
In the green heart of the Romagna Apennines, experience a day that combines nature, traditions and authentic flavours.
Arrival at the suggestive Ridracoli Dam is scheduled for around 10.30 a.m., where you will be welcomed at the La Terrazza sul Lago kiosk for a pleasant coffee break. Here, amidst breathtaking views and pure air, you can enjoy traditional sweets such as tarts and fluffy doughnuts, to start the day with gusto.
Afterwards, we embark on a silent electric boat for an enthralling excursion on Lake Ridracoli, immersed in the unspoilt nature of the Casentino Forest National Park. During the navigation, the story of the dam is intertwined with that of the flora and fauna that populate this extraordinary ecosystem, providing a relaxing and richly evocative experience.
Back ashore, the day continues at the IDRO Ecomuseo delle Acque di Ridracoli, where an informal but authentic lunch awaits: baskets prepared by Angolo dei Sapori, with typical local products and Slow Food presidia, for a true journey into local flavours.
In the afternoon we reach Santa Sofia, for a pleasant walk along the river route, amidst evocative views and relaxing atmospheres, until we reach the historic Sala Milleluci. Here, tradition comes to life: local producers and artisans guide you in the discovery of ancient knowledge, from the processing of ancient grains to rust printing, and the tale of tortello sulla lastra, the symbol of the cuisine of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines.
An authentic experience, capable of involving all the senses, which will conclude with the return to the Ravenna shores, taking with it the memory of a day rich in emotions, nature and tradition.
