Would you like to know more about the history of the air force by visiting a collection of over 50 original aircrafts, anti-aircraft and armored vehicles, scale flying models, uniforms and flight suits? Are you an airplane enthusiast? If so, this is the park that will satisfy your curiosity.
The Aviation Theme Park, inaugurated in 1995, with almost 80,000 square meters of exhibition space is the largest structure of its kind in Italy and one of the largest in Europe. Its particular location, built on a hilly slope and surrounded by greenery (more than 300 new trees have recently been planted), makes it pleasant to visit in all seasons. Here you will find the Museum of Historical Aeromodelling: consisting of two main structures: a runway, which was approved for the flight championships and a building named after Italo Balbo overlooking the freeway leading to San Marino. A full-scale replica of the famous Red Baron triplane stands out as a Gate guardian next to the entrance of the structure which houses a significant number of models for bound or radio-controlled flights, some of which are holders of the most prestigious records in the world.
On 24 February 2010, it obtained the Museum of Quality recognition from the Emilia Romagna Region.
